On July 10, 2013 Scott Gain and Deb Miller met with Cary Gaynor, RDCK Parks Division and Joe Vingo, Siliviculture Danger Tree Assessor, regarding the dead trees at the front of the property. A few options were discussed that included having the trees felled completely, limbing and topping the trees that have wildlife cavities present or fencing off the area and posting signs to keep the public away. Cary is to meet with the Ministry DTA representative to review the situation and determine an appropriate plan of action. Any proposed plan will likely not be acted upon until the Fall. The trees in question are definitely "danger trees" and pose a risk of liability to the RDCK.
We encourage everyone to avoid the area between Erindale Road and the clubhouse until the situation is resolved.
